East Meets West 300 Certification program 2021-2022

  • 256 hrs. contact class time/
  • 30 hrs. Documented sessions/
  • 14 hrs. of public relations and community service.
  • Each module will consist of 4 full days broken into 2 alternating weekends. 
  • Feet and hands will be our Reflexology focus.
  • Students may choose from varying community service projects relating to reflexology but must be verified to count as hours.

Class times: 8:30-5:30 each day
Dress comfortably as there will be practical application each and every time we meet.

 Basic Techniques of Reflexology  (Module 1)

Class dates Sept 11-12, and Sept 25-26

        EB before Sept 1

This module addresses the basics of effective Reflexology techniques for hands and feet.  The object is to acquaint the newest in the field with

  • safe practices
  • anatomical terms that will allow us to work with fellow health professionals
  • a history of how we got to where we are today.
  • Techniques, techniques, techniques

c.       Foot pathologies (web lecture to be completed before live class)

d.       Techniques: Feet and hands

e.       Practicum

         Digestive System Secrets,

                              Necessities of the Nervous System

(Module 2)

Class Dates: Oct 9-10 and Oct 23-24

The importance of the Digestive System and the details of the accurate location will be the focus.  There is more going on there than just the digestion of food.  This is why the Nervous system with detail on the Cranial Nerves becomes a logically paired topic.  Charting all this in a logical system to allow the practitioner to keep track of the issues brought to the session as well as the progress made from one session to the next is a valuable necessary tool for the Reflexologist.

Hot Blooded, Check It And SEE! (Module 3)

The systems that move our blood, bathe our cells, and supply oxygen to each and every part of the human body are mapped out perfectly for the Reflexologist to access.  What the importance of their role in the human body actually is, when to pay close attention to these systems, and where you can access them through Reflexology

Dem Bones, Muscle Mania, Your Urinary, and OhBABY! The Reproductive (Module 4)

Class dates Dec 4-5 and Jan 8-9

Systems that support, move, keep your blood clean, and produce the “next generation”

  • ·         Skeletal (web lecture to be completed before live class)
  • ·         Muscular (web lecture to be completed before live class)
  • ·         Urinary (web lecture to be completed before live class)
  • ·         Reproductive (web lecture to be completed before live class)


Endocrine system/Build the Bones. (Module 5)

Class Dates: Jan 22-23 and Feb 5-6

EB before Jan 14

What we call the Endocrine System provides many answers and even more questions about the mystery that is the adventure of keeping the body in balance.  As we tie the Endocrine System in with the other systems of the body we can appreciate its many jobs.

Then we go about taking all the mystery out of the anatomy associated with the foot and hand as we construct those structures from clay.  While we’re at it we’ll discuss some of the pathologies we find on those structures and how they translate to clues to an individual’s overall well being

  TCM Where East meets West.  (Module 6)

Class Dates Feb 19-20 and March 5-6

Chinese Elements demystified! 

  • Paired Organs make it logical to use within a Reflexologist’s natural scope of practice. 
  • Meridians and the energy that runs through them, when and where and possibly why energy works so beautifully to address what clients bring to the Reflexology Table.
  • Reflexology/ Midterm exam for those working toward certification.

Spine/ Organs/ Element  (Module 7)


Class Dates: March 19-20 and April 2-3

EB before March 12

There is a connection to the physical body, the energy systems presented in TCM, and the clues given in how the body presents itself.

  •   Nerves to organs (web lecture to be completed before live class)
  •   Intro Dermatomes (web lecture to be completed before live class)
  •   Intro Myotomes (web lecture to be completed before live class)
  •   Work on instructor
  •   Assignment 10  clients 3x each.


                                                                                                                                                                            Muscles and Meridians. (Module 8)

Class Dates: April 30-May 1 and May 14,15

EB before April 22

How mysterious muscle situations can be directly related to the Meridians.  One of the more common examples, plantar fasciitis, can be directly related to meridian/element disruption and therefore EASILY corrected.  

  • Mapping muscles in the body (web lecture to be completed before live class)
  • Relation of muscles to meridians(web lecture to be completed before live class)
  • How to use the information (web lecture to be completed before live class)
  • Review of program 
  • Documentation of 10 clients 3x each. Demo on instructor
  • Exam.

Students will receive a certificate of completion upon review of documentation and grading of the exam to be completed in a timely manner.
